Yes — the mobile apps are offline-first. Everything you see is read from a secure copy of your data stored on the device, so the app stays fast and fully usable in a hospital basement, a care facility, or a rural area with no bars.
When you create or edit something offline, Pax saves it on your device right away and adds it to a pending queue. The next time you're online, those changes are sent to the server automatically. A failed send never corrupts what's on your device — it simply tries again.
The server is the source of truth. Your devices pull down the latest changes and push up yours, so your phone, tablet, and the web app all converge on the same current picture. Open Pax on a new device and it fills in with your church's data.
Pax resolves disagreements automatically using a last-write-wins rule based on the server's timestamps: the most recent save is the one that sticks. In everyday ministry this is rarely an issue, but it means you never end up stuck with a sync conflict to untangle by hand.
Sign-in is passwordless and session-based, so you can sign out remotely by ending your session, and there's no stored password to steal. For the strongest protection, keep a device passcode or biometric lock enabled — the same safeguard you'd use for email and banking.
