Many free applications have hidden methods for covering their upfront and ongoing expenses, including selling your data and pushing advertisements. The Pax app does neither of these, and is built with mindset of security and privacy from the ground up.
Pax ensures your data is secure through a combination of advanced encryption, secure authentication methods, and strict privacy policies. We never sell your data or serve ads, and our app is designed with security and privacy as top priorities.
No. The creator of the Pax app has built the application over several years, under the taxable umbrella of his company. Once this application goes into public release, it will be set up on its own tax ID. The creator of the Pax app has no plans to make the application a nonprofit, and instead plans to use the revenue generated from the app to fund ongoing development and maintenance, as well as to support the team behind the app.
The Pax app offers a 30-day refund policy for all purchases made within the app. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can request a refund within 30 days of the transaction, and our support team will assist you with the process. Please note that refunds are subject to the terms and conditions of the app store from which you made the purchase, and we recommend reviewing those policies for more information.
Pax is a church management platform (a “church CRM”) built for pastors and ministry staff. It keeps your people, prayer requests, visits, pastoral response, directory, and day-to-day pastoral care in one place — on the web and in native iOS and Android apps — so you can spend less time on paperwork and more time with the people you shepherd.
Not at all. Pax works just as well for a solo church planter tracking a few dozen people as it does for a multi-staff congregation caring for thousands. Pricing scales with the number of staff seats and the features you turn on, so smaller churches only pay for what they actually use.
Pax runs anywhere you do ministry. There are native apps for iPhone and iPad and for Android phones and tablets, plus a full-featured web app you can open in any modern browser on a Mac or PC. Your data stays in sync across every device you sign in on.
Yes. The mobile apps are offline-first. Everything you view is read from a copy of your data stored securely on the device, and anything you create or edit — a note from a hospital visit, a new prayer request, an updated address — is saved locally right away. The moment you're back online, Pax quietly syncs your changes with the server. You can minister in a basement, a care facility, or a rural county with no worries about connectivity.
There are no passwords in Pax. When you sign in, we email you a secure “magic link.” Tap it and you're in. This removes the most common source of account breaches — weak or reused passwords — and means there's nothing for you or your staff to forget. Links are single-use and expire quickly for safety.
Yes — that's how Pax is designed to be used. Your church is a single organization, and you invite each pastor, staff member, or volunteer as their own user with their own sign-in. Everyone works from the same shared, always-current information, and you control who can see and do what through roles.
Staff (including ordained or “called” staff) get the full toolset: contacts, pastoral response, visitation, messaging, import, and more. Members get a focused, private view — they can keep their own contact record up to date, browse the church directory, and submit prayer requests. Sensitive pastoral notes and staff tools are never visible to members.
The directory is a live, always-current photo directory your members can browse on any device — no more printing an out-of-date booklet every year. Visibility is consent-based and grouped by household, so people are only listed the way they've agreed to be shown. Staff control whether the directory is enabled for your church at all.
Yes. Members can edit their own contact record, and you can send a household a secure “family update” invite so they can confirm addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, and family members for their whole household at once. This keeps your records accurate without your staff having to chase everyone down.
Yes. Pax includes an importer with ready-made adapters for common church systems — including Church360 (people, households, and marriages) and Realm — so you can move your people, families, and relationships over without starting from scratch. Our support team is glad to help you plan the migration.
Always. Your data is yours. You can export your records at any time to Excel, PDF, Word, or Markdown. There is no lock-in — if you ever decide to leave, you can take a complete copy of your information with you.
Pastoral Response turns a repeatable ministry process — new-member onboarding, baptism preparation, funeral follow-up — into something Pax carries for you. You choose a trigger to watch for, such as a new contact being added, then the actions that should follow and how many days apart: a prayer request, a visitation card, a calendar event, a reminder, or a note to a staff member. Pax takes each action on your behalf when it comes due, so nothing falls through the cracks and every family gets the same faithful care.
Pax carries your congregation's needs with you and gently surfaces prayer requests throughout the day, chosen at random from your list. Instead of a static page you have to remember to open, Pax helps you “pray continually” — a few names at a time — even on a full schedule.
Visits, hospital stays, shut-in calls, and pastoral concerns live on a Kanban board built for the rhythm of ministry. You can see at a glance who needs a visit, who is in progress, and who has been followed up with — and move a person from one column to the next as care happens. It's especially helpful for coordinating a team so no one is visited twice and no one is missed.
Yes. Pax surfaces birthdays, wedding anniversaries, baptismal dates, and other important moments on your Today page and reminds you ahead of time, so you're never caught off guard and can reach out when it matters most.
Pax is a subscription, billed to your church. Pricing is based on how many staff seats you need and which optional features you turn on — things like the live directory can be enabled or left off. You can review the full breakdown on our Pricing page and adjust your plan as your ministry grows.
Yes. You can sign up and set up your church to see how Pax fits your ministry, and every purchase is backed by our 30-day refund policy. If it isn't the right fit within the first 30 days, reach out and we'll make it right.
Never. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or serve ads in the app. Your subscription is what funds Pax, precisely so that your people's information never has to become the product. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
Before you cancel, you can export a full copy of your records in the format you prefer. After cancellation we retain and then remove your data in line with our Privacy Policy and Data Processing terms. You'll never be held hostage to keep your own information.
